Kintsugi Art Advanced Workshop

Service Description

This class is for those who have gained sufficient knowledge and expertise after attending the intermediate level and would like to mend larger pieces which may require more than 1 session. You have a choice of mending a large vase, 8 inch dinner plate or a big bowl. All art materials are provided so just come for the session with an open mind to embrace Kintsugi and a wabi sabi mindset. Wabi sabi is a Japanese concept that encourages us to constantly search for the beauty in imperfections and accept the more natural flow of life. What is included in your 2 hour session: 1) An introduction to the history of Kintsugi, how Kintsugi teaches us sustainability and why Kintsugi is considered a healing art. 2) 1 large ceramics of your choice eg big vase, 8 inch dinner plate, big bowl 3) Full art materials to conduct Kintsugi healing. Please note that the art materials can’t be taken back home. Purely for use in the studio only. 4) Beautiful Japanese Sakura flower gift box to take home your beautifully restored Kintsugi piece. You can bring your own ceramics to mend during the workshop but do ensure they have not been broken into more than 5 pieces in the interest of time. Image shown is just for illustration purpose only
