Kintsugi Art Intermediate Workshop

Service Description

After getting a basic knowledge about Kintsugi and mending 1 small piece, why not attempt to try to mend bigger pieces which would need longer time? You will have a choice of mid sized bowls, salad plates, small vases and sake sets. All art materials are provided so just come for the session with an open mind to embrace Kintsugi and a wabi sabi mindset. Wabi sabi is a Japanese concept that encourages us to constantly search for the beauty in imperfections and accept the more natural flow of life. What is included in your 3 hour session: 1) An introduction to the history of Kintsugi, how Kintsugi teaches us sustainability and why Kintsugi is considered a healing art. 2) 1 ceramic of your choice. 3) Full art materials to conduct Kintsugi healing. Please note that the art materials can’t be taken back home. Purely for use in the studio only. 4) Beautiful Japanese Sakura flower gift box to take home your beautifully restored KIntsugi pieces. You can bring your own ceramics to mend during the workshop but do ensure they have not been broken into more than 5 pieces in the interest of time.
